Our Dogs

This page is devoted to our beloved friends, our dogs

Dogs have been in almost all our families. Dogs were man's first domesticated animal.
They are truly the most social, loyal friend and companion of all mankind.

Growing up, my wife and her sisters had a lovable golden brown Cocker Spaniel, Bambi.

When I was growing up as a teenager we first had a black & white Fox Terrier. (Sorry, no pictures)
She gave birth to two puppies, one black & white and one with long brown curls.

Then came our Boxer kennel.

My parents operated a Boxer kennel on 35 acres in Edina. At times we had as many as 23 puppies plus boarded a Harlequin Great Dane.
During the 1950's we were the second Boxer breeder in the Twin Cities area.

During the 70's, in Madison, Wisconsin, we had small, non-shedding, apricot and silver teacup size poodles including Misty & silver Mystique.

Our children's dogs have included rescued/adopted dogs: in California; Sandy, Digger, Brandy and their latest, Buddy who passed away August 18th 2007.

Minnesota dogs have included German Shepherds': Dutchess, Thor and Heidi.

Another set include a mild red brown Doberman and two Dachshunds Pancho, Peanut, plus puppies.

Relatives have had a variety of dogs including Cocker Spaniels, Blaze and Sam. Nebraska dog Buddy a Golden Retriever/Sled dog mix.

Our latest love is a Golden Retriever puppy named Bailey registered as "Sir Bailey's Cream".

Here he is at 5 weeks with grass as tall as he was then, surveying the world:

This was our first meeting. He was six weeks old, brought to the stable with two brothers bright by car to see someone else.
At this point the puppy did not not have a name. We fell in love.

Can you see why?
